Frequently asked questions

What data can BankSync extract from invoices?
BankSync extracts vendor/supplier name, invoice number, invoice date, due date, PO number, subtotal, tax amount, total amount, payment status, and line items from invoices. Line items can be exported as individual rows for granular tracking.
How do I process invoices automatically?
Set up email forwarding to your unique BankSync inbox address. Then set up an auto-forward rule in Gmail or Outlook so all invoices from vendors are automatically sent to BankSync for processing. Each invoice is extracted and synced to your destination without any manual work.
Can I extract invoice data to Notion?
Yes. BankSync syncs extracted invoice data directly to Notion databases. Map vendor, invoice number, dates, and amounts to your Notion database properties. This is unique — most invoice tools only export to accounting software or CSV files.
Can I extract line items from invoices?
Yes. BankSync supports line-item mode, where each line item on an invoice is exported as a separate row in your destination. This is useful for tracking costs at the product or service level, or for detailed expense categorisation.
What invoice formats are supported?
BankSync supports PDF, JPG, and PNG invoice files. Both digital invoices (generated by billing software) and scanned paper invoices are supported. You can upload files directly or process them via email forwarding.
How does invoice deduplication work?
BankSync prevents duplicate invoice entries by matching on invoice number, vendor, and amount. If the same invoice is processed twice — for example, forwarded from two email addresses — only one entry is created in your destination.
