Questions, answered.

Is BankSync available in Australia?

Yes. BankSync is live in Australia. Supported CDR bank transactions and balances can sync to Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, and Excel, or be accessed through supported Claude and ChatGPT MCP workflows.

Does BankSync use the Consumer Data Right (CDR)?

Yes. All Australian connections use the regulated CDR framework, not screen-scraping. Your credentials never touch BankSync; you authorise data sharing directly with your bank, and the bank issues a scoped, revocable consent.

Which Australian banks does BankSync support?

Coverage includes the four major banks (CommBank, Westpac, NAB, ANZ), Macquarie, neobanks like Up, regional banks such as Bankwest, St.George, Bendigo, Suncorp, and ING, plus participating credit unions and mutuals. Confirm the exact institution in BankSync before relying on a connection.

Can I sync investment and brokerage accounts?

Australian CDR connections currently advertise transactions and balances. Eligible investment and brokerage data may be available through a separate supported investment-provider connection; availability depends on the brokerage and account.

How long does the CDR consent last?

You choose the duration when you authorise: 7 days, 90 days, or 12 months (the maximum permitted under CDR rules). BankSync prompts you to renew before expiry. You can revoke consent at any time from your bank or from the BankSync dashboard.

Is my Australian bank data stored offshore?

CDR data is processed within accredited Data Recipient infrastructure. Customer data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). See the compliance page for the full architecture.
