Chat with your Australian bank data in Claude
Connect supported Australian CDR bank data to Claude via BankSync's MCP server. Ask about supported transactions and balances in plain English: regulated, no credentials stored.
BankSync fetches your Australian bank data using the regulated CDR framework and exposes it as MCP tools. Claude can then query your transactions, balances, and holdings in response to natural-language questions: no spreadsheets, no SQL.
Four steps to get started.
- 01
Sign up for BankSync
Create a BankSync account and start your 14-day trial. Your card is not charged during the trial.
- 02
Connect your Australian bank
Choose your bank and complete the CDR consent flow; your credentials stay with your bank and never reach BankSync.
- 03
Generate a BankSync API key
From the Developers section in the BankSync dashboard, create an API key.
- 04
Add BankSync MCP to Claude
Install the .mcpb bundle in Claude Desktop, or paste the MCP server config into your Claude client. See the full guide for step-by-step instructions.

Questions, answered.
Can I use Claude with Australian bank data?
Yes. Connect any CDR-accredited Australian bank to BankSync, add the BankSync MCP server to Claude Desktop or Claude Code, and ask Claude about your transactions, balances, and holdings in plain English.
Which Australian banks work with Claude via BankSync?
Every CDR-accredited institution: CommBank, Westpac, NAB, ANZ, Macquarie, Up, ING, Bankwest, St.George, Bendigo, Suncorp, HSBC Australia, and all other ADI-licensed banks, credit unions, and mutuals.
Is my Australian bank data safe when used with Claude?
Yes. BankSync connects via the regulated Consumer Data Right (CDR) framework, so your banking credentials never leave your bank. Claude only sees the data you've authorised BankSync to share. You can revoke access at any time from your bank or the BankSync dashboard.
Do I need to be a developer to connect Claude to my Australian bank?
No. Claude Desktop supports a one-click .mcpb bundle installer. Claude Code and other MCP clients require a short JSON config snippet; no programming knowledge needed.
What can I ask Claude about my bank data?
Anything: spending breakdowns by merchant or category, balance summaries across all accounts, transaction searches by date or amount, investment holdings, loan balances, and more.
