Review and verification
Submit a listing for review: the automatic checks, what BankSync staff look at, approval and rejection emails, sharing an unverified listing by private link, and suspension.
2 min read
A listing appears in marketplace search only after BankSync has verified it. You ask for that from the Review tab of the listing editor.
Submit#
Choose Submit for review. Automatic checks run first, and the Review tab lists anything that fails so you can fix it:
- the template is valid and portable (nothing from your workspace inside it), and everything it references is included;
- links are https and on an allowed host for their product;
- there is at least one image, and copy and captions are within their limits;
- no text contains something that looks like a secret or a key;
- your address and the listing's address are valid.
You must have accepted the creator agreement. At most three of your listings can be in review at once. A suspended creator cannot submit.
What staff review#
A BankSync reviewer reads the page, the media and every resource in the template. Every automation step that sends data out of BankSync is flagged to them, and so is a screenshot captured with real data.
A listing is refused if it offers bank connections as its own service, or passes installers' bank data on to anyone else (reselling, syndicating or re-exposing it). Each installer connects their own banks in their own workspace and chooses what a template or app can use.
- Approved — in one step the listing is verified, the submitted version becomes current, its pending media is approved, and your listing and creator addresses lock. You get an email.
- Rejected — you get an email with the reason and a note. The listing stays unverified; fix it and submit again.
Sharing before verification#
An unverified listing has a private link you can share. It never appears in search, rails, sitemaps or your creator page, and at most ten workspaces besides yours can have it installed at once.
Suspension#
BankSync can suspend a listing, or a creator and all its listings, for breaking the creator agreement. A suspended listing disappears from the marketplace and you see the reason in Settings › Creator; workspaces that installed it keep what it made.
