How it works: PSD2 mandates regulated open banking access across the EEA. In Bulgaria the framework is supervised by the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB); BankSync connects through Salt Edge, a licensed AISP.
Connection: Connections are made through Salt Edge, a licensed AISP authorised under PSD2.

How long does PSD2 consent last?

Consent duration is set per bank; since the 2023 EBA RTS amendment most EEA banks issue consents of up to 180 days. BankSync shows the expiry date on each connection and prompts you to renew before it lapses.
