Dividend Tracker FAQ
How do I build a dividend tracker?
Connect your brokerages through BankSync, pick a destination (Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable or Excel), and choose the dividend tracker template. Cash and reinvested dividends sync with ex-date, pay-date, amount and ticker on every run.
Which brokerages report dividends?
Every supported brokerage that reports dividends to its open finance API does. That covers Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Robinhood, Vanguard, E*TRADE, Interactive Brokers, TD Ameritrade and others. DRIP (dividend reinvestment) events are flagged so you can split cash income from reinvested.
Can I forecast next year's dividend income?
Yes. With a year of dividend history in your sheet and current holdings sync, build a forecast formula using payment frequency and yield. The schema is consistent across brokerages so the formula keeps working when you add an account.
Does the tracker handle qualified vs ordinary dividends?
BankSync syncs the dividend type field where the brokerage exposes it. For brokerages that do not classify until the 1099, you can tag the rows yourself in the destination.
How current is the dividend data?
BankSync syncs as often as every 15 minutes. Brokerages typically post dividend events within one to three business days of pay-date, so a daily schedule catches everything.
